Table of Equidistant Points

 

This table gives compass settings, in millimeters, for laying out points on spheres of specified diameter.  For example to lay out four equidistant points on a sphere of 50mm, set the compass to 41mm.  To lay out the six main points on that sphere, set the compass to 35.5mm.
